So this is our latest Florida animal encounter..... A Nutria.....it is a South American water rodent that has made a home for himself in a near by pond!
Isn't he just a cutie!!! I just want to take him home with me!!!
Check out those teeth......so if you have a problem getting your kids to brush good....just have them look at this picture. We were on an evening walk and this is what we found!!! Dave was running through the Florida brush to get these amazing shots.....it was really funny to watch.....Benjamin and I were right behind him.....if anything was going to scare the critter away it was Benjamin's little voice saying "Look Mommy a BEAVER!!!" (we thought it was a Beaver at first)

Im so glad you found out what they really are! WE se ethem in ponds and the river sometimes and I have been refering to them as giant mutated river rats. Because that is really what they look like!
